Filament Innovations Carbon Fiber ABS Hybrid filament is a continuation of our 2015 formula. As a company who listens to our customers and treats them like family, we listened to you on this filament. And the consensus was "How can you make it print better on my stock .4mm nozzle?" Well, we tried lots of things and what works was adding just a sprinkle of PLA into the mixture! And just like that, our hybrid ABS formula was born. This prints better on a stock .4mm nozzle and for all intensive purposes, is still the ABS based Carbon Fiber filament you are looking for. This filament is now made from 20% Carbon Fiber, 72% ABS, and 8% PLA - by weight. High Modulus Carbon Fiber strands are combined with industry leading, virgin ABS and PLA material and extruded into 1.75mm filament; you are sure to love this filament! Officially founded in October 2015, Filament Innovations is an open-source 3D Printing company located in the heart of historic Bethlehem, PA. We have contracted with a manufacturing company to have our filaments produced for us.
